Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Technical Writer.
Job Summary:
As the Technical Writer in our team, your primary responsibility is to create, update and improve technical documentation associated to our products, including manuals, instructions, quick guides, and various instructional content (e.g., tutorials, technical blog articles, amendments and updates on packaging). All deliverables must adhere to pre-approved templates and cater to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical proficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with a small (but growing) team of skilled individuals and enjoy diverse work environment with colleagues spanning multiple countries in Europe.
Main duties:
- Work independently to research, collate, structure, organize, and produce technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with technical departments, marketing and other departments to produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive documents that meet the needs of each audience.
- Maintain a detailed reference materials database, plan and revise documentation standards, systems, and content.
- Create and maintain information architecture templates for SALUS Controls standards.
- Produce and manage online help documentation based on internal and external feedback, use cases, and technical specifications.
- Organize and update the resource database.
Position requirements:
- Technical graduate (preferred but not mandatory)
- 3 or more years of technical writing experience, including documentation for various audiences.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical matters.
- Good written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience collaborating with engineers.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Organized and dynamic person, results-oriented, responsible, attentive to details, analytical spirit, eager to accumulate new knowledge, involved, enthusiastic.
- Fluent in English; any other language of international circulation is a plus.
- Professional experience in technical industries and / or in international projects is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe InDesign and Illustrator (mandatory)
- Adobe Photoshop and Premier represent a plus.
