SALUS launch the NEW innovative Quantum thermostat!
Tuesday 26th November we headed down to Quaglino’s in London to host the official launch event of our brand new thermostat- The Quantum.
“The new Quantum thermostat, which is now available across the UK, is available in four versions (SQ & WQ range), 230V mains powered and Li-Ion rechargeable battery powered radio frequency (RF) for both underfloor and boiler markets.
The idea of controlling the behaviour of central heating and underfloor heating systems alone means thriftiness and ecology. However, SALUS have decided to go one step further, and designed the thermostat with an internal rechargeable battery to accommodate recommendations of the European Union.
In addition, the warm floor feature has been designed to overcome solar gain issues. Long periods of solar gain through large expanses of glass normally cause the floor temperature to reduce, thus causing longer reheat times. The newly developed Quantum warm floor feature, however, helps maintain warmth in the floor during these long periods.”

“SALUS has launched its new Quantum smart thermostat, complete with Lithium rechargeable battery, during a press event this week.
A version of the device will be sold through Wolseley stores nationwide plus underfloor heating suppliers.
“We want to deliver low cost energy to everybody,” said SALUS European managing director Dean Jepson.
He explained how the company, which has offices across Hong Kong, China and the US, files 250 patents for new technologies each year. Developments such as Quantum were kept in-house with “no need to outsource to anybody”.
“We are using technology far in advance and everything is under one roof,” Dean added.
The 10mm thick Quantum has a two-yearly rechargeable Lithium battery. After a decade this will also be replaced free of charge.
Quantum has also been designed to fit in with other SALUS smart home innovations such as cardiac arrest monitoring and water quality sensors.
The new model also has an advanced wiring system unit for underfloor heating.”
